Public Safety Programs:
REACH:
A computerized telephone reassurance program offered to those residents living alone without relatives or family members able to check on their well-being.
S.O.S. :
Shovel Out Seniors - A collaborative effort with Nutley High and Junior High School to provide snow shoveling services to senior citizens and handi-capped individuals.
Senior Citizen Transportation:
A bus service providing transportation services to senior citizens. Bus stops at designated street corners throughout town and brings seniors to Shoprite, other stores on Franklin Avenue and other areas of interest within town.
Kohls/Costco/Target Transportation:
Every other Wednesday a bus transports seniors from both Senior Citizen residences to these shopping areas.
Special Young Adults Transportation:
A handicapped bus transports
SYA students from their homes to the facility on Franklin Avenue.
West Essex Rehabilitation Center Transportation:
Transportation provided to disabled residents in town to the Rehabilitation Center in Montclair.
Nutrition Lunch Transportation:
Bus service provided to those senior citizens who attend the county sponsored Nutrition lunch at the Parks and Recreation Building.
