Domestic Violence Support

Domestic Violence is a growing problem each year in the United States.

Domestic Violence Statistics for 2024 are as follows:

  • 32 people experience intimate partner violence every minute. (in NJ or State?)
  • More then 16 million people suffer from intimate partner abuse each year in the United States.

Domestic Violence is a pattern of controlling behavior used to maintain power in a relationship by one partner over the other. Abusive behaviors to control include physical, sexual, psychological, emotional and economic abuse.

If you are a victim or know someone that is, you are not alone, there is help available for all.

The Rachel Coalition is a support group for victims and survivors of Domestic Violence. They train volunteers to be on a Domestic Violence Emergency Response Team (DVERT)

The Department of Public Affairs and Health have a Certified DVERT staff member available to speak privately and confidentially to anyone that needs resource information. Please do not hesitate to reach out for assistance or information.
