Please be advised that the NJ State Division of Motor Vehicles has informed the Township this afternoon that the
appointment registration link will now open up at 12noon on FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2025.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

The New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicle will be coming to Nutley this May. This Mobile Unit will allow all residents to take advantage of the following services offered by the DMV right here in Nutley:

• REAL ID
• Registration Renewal
• Initial Permit (Note: tests are NOT given at Mobile Unit)
• Non-Driver ID
• Duplicate/Replacement Title or Registration

Please note that the appointments for the May 14 event will become available at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 24 at the following link: 

https://telegov.njportal.com/njmvcmobileunit/

You will be required to provide your name, driver’s license/ID number, telephone number and email address. We suggest that you have this information ready in advance so that you can register without delay.

Additionally, the following services will be offered without the need for an appointment:

• Surrendering license plates
• Handicapped, Veterans, or Purple Heart placards
• Purchase of red GDL decals
