Mayor Mauro G. Tucci announces the Nutley Department of Parks and Recreation will be offering the Peanut Soccer Program again this spring. This program is open to Nutley toddlers ages three through six and is directed by a professional coaching staff.
Introduce your child to the wonderful world of sports. There are tremendous benefits when introducing children to sports from the toddler level. “Some benefits include helping build confidence, improving social and listening skills and promoting fitness from a young age” stated Mayor Mauro G. Tucci.
Peanut Soccer is an enjoyable non-competitive program designed to help the youngest of soccer players begin to develop basic soccer skills by participating in fun-filled, soccer oriented children’s games and basic physical education. Peanut Soccer will begin on May 1, 2021. Classes will be held on Saturdays. See printable flyer for detailed information.
The program will be held on the mini turf at Msgr. Owens Park and will run for 6 weeks. This fun, innovative curriculum is an exciting introduction to the sport of soccer for children ages 3 through 6. With the extensive teaching and coaching backgrounds they understand how children learn and how soccer can be taught effectively.
