Please be advised that the Nutley Police Department has received communication of a viral TIKTOK/Snapchat social media post indicating a potential school shooting on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021.
 
There is NO credible information to suggest that there is any direct threat specific to the Nutley School System or any school located in New Jersey.
 
Our department has increased patrol and investigative units in and around the Township to ensure the safety of its residents, as we continue to work closely with all Federal, State, County, and Local authorities on information relevant to any pertinent communications.
