Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo are advising that suspicious encounter alert sent out has been resolved.

Nutley Police investigated an incident that occurred 1/23/2017 at approximately 7:45 AM.

A 13 y/o Nutley Student reported to police that while walking to school an older man pulled next to him and offered him a ride. After alert was sent to township registrants we received a call from a party identifying themselves as a family friend that offered the young man a ride.
