We are seeking an individual who possesses office clerical and administrative experience to join our Municipal Clerk’s Office. The successful candidate must be highly organized, detailed oriented and possess strong writing ability. This position interacts daily with the public, including residents and others either in person, by telephone or email. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Municipal Clerk and the Deputy Municipal Clerk. Job responsibilities shall include projects and tasks consistent with this office such as raffles and licensing, election support, public records requests, recordkeeping, and other activities as directed by the Municipal Clerk. Prior experience in a municipal clerk’s office is not required, however, the ability and desire to learn and consistently apply rules and regulations is a must for this position. Please note that this position is covered by Civil Service. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to complete a probationary period of three (3) months. The preferred candidate, in addition to the above, must possess excellent computer skills and be comfortable learning to use our in-house software tools. An intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Full Salary and Benefits are available.
