Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo are advising residents of a suspicious incident that is taking place at the Nutley Public Library.

Chief Strumolo said that at 3:30 PM this date Nutley Police received information of a suspicious incident involving possible threats. Police are on scene now assessing the situation along with school and Library officials. The area has been contained as a precaution, and there is no risk of threat to the public at this time.

The situation is under control and remains an active investigation by the Nutley Detective Bureau.
