Summer Lacrosse Clinics

The Parks and Recreation Department continues to expand the selection of sports and special event programs every year.  “Lacrosse programs are growing tremendously and development of emerging sports programs is of high importance to the Nutley Recreation Department,” stated Commissioner Tucci. This summer, we are offering TWO Lacrosse clinics.

Boys & Girls Grades K-3 and a Girls Clinic Grades 2-8. Both clinics will run for 5 weeks on Wednesday evenings from July 5th through August 2nd.   Printable flyers are attached for each individual clinic.

Lacrosse, often referred to as “the fastest game on two feet”, is one of the fastest growing team sports in the United States.  The fundamentals of lacrosse are the same for both boys and girls but rules and equipment differ. Girls’ rules limit stick and body contact.

Both clinics will welcome beginners and experienced players that just want to have fun and enjoy this great sport. The emphasis will be on fundamental skills and technique, helping all players to progress and succeed. No experience is necessary.

Most of the major colleges offer Lacrosse today and we want to ensure we develop feeder programs to keep options available for young athletes who aspire to play Lacrosse at the college level someday.

Online Registration is now available at https://register.communitypass.net/nutley
