As the countdown to the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation’s May 10 Rally 4 Hope continues, support and raising awareness throughout the Township remains stronger than ever!
On Friday, April 26, Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation trustees Linda Hamilton and Janet Halchak were joined by Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci, members of the Nutley Parks and Recreation Department and others at Memorial Park (the Mud Hole) to present 200 purple colored “Bows for Cancer” to Rally 4 Hope team members. These bows will be displayed around town to show support and call attention to the May 10 event.
“The whole purpose is to raise awareness for Rally 4 Hope,” stated Tucci. “It starts here in the Mud Hole and is spread all around as people will put these purple bows up outside their homes. They’ll also be displayed on Franklin Avenue and across all of Nutley so everyone knows why we are doing this and how important this is.”
The Rally for Hope is the signature event of the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports cancer survivors in Nutley and surrounding areas by providing financial assistance to cancer survivors, and families of cancer patients that have lost their battle with cancer. The foundation is also committed to providing annual donations in support of cancer research as well as charitable donations through local community organizations that support cancer survivors.
The May 10 Rally 4 Hope will be held at Glotzbach Park beginning at 6pm. For more information, contact the Nutley Parks and Recreation Department at (973) 284-4966.
