Rounding out a series of events in celebration of Women’s History Month, the Township of Nutley community came out in support of local women-owned businesses Tuesday night for the Second Annual Sip and Shop event held at Mamma Vittoria Catering.
Presented by Township of Nutley Commissioner John V. Kelly III, in partnership with the Women’s Networking Group, this fun shopping event featured products and various services and goods sold by dozens of Nutley women business owners. Shoppers sipped on pink lemonade and iced tea and noshed on an array of delicious eats courtesy of Cubita Cafe, Da Vinci Bakery & Deli, Jernick’s Specialties, Loue’s Place Pizza and Pasta, Mamma Vittoria Catering, Pete’s Deli, Petracco & Sons Deli, Vilardo’s Deli and Violante’s Meat Market.
“We have to support our local businesses, especially women-owned businesses,” expressed Kelly at the event. “It’s a symbiotic relationship. When they thrive, we thrive - and by we, I mean the entire community of Nutley. When our local businesses are strong, we are a stronger community. Finding ways to give back and help local businesses succeed is important.”
Businesses who took part in the event included All That Sarah Creates, Cannapalooza Farms, Chic Chips LLC, The Curious Shopper, DiLaRu Boutique, Eden’s Sweet Ideas, Girl Scouts #20480, Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation - Rally 4 Hope, Gardens of Sol, Gia Dance Studio, Hyssop Beauty Apothecary, Katie’s Korner, Kinder Curio Books, Luisa Frey/Author, Lynn’s Pampered Pets, Mary Kay, Nutley Family Service Bureau, One Hope Wines, Pure Synergy Physical Therapy, Seven x Seven Boutique, The Sweet Life Cafe NJ, Theresa Quinn DelVecchio, TNC Trendy Designs, Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski, Valley Bank, and Your Healthy Truth, LLC.
