Mayor John V. Kelly, III and the Department of Public Affairs and Health in partnership with the Nutley Chamber of Commerce presented the second annual Nutley Small Business “Holiday Sip and Shop” at the Nutley Knights of Columbus Tuesday night. The event featured a wide range of local businesses and vendors who showcased their products and offerings for purchase as customers browsed and had a bite to eat.
Not only do shoppers look forward to the Holiday Sip and Shop event, it is an opportunity for small businesses to gain traction from the town. Theresa Del Vecchio, a local author, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to share her children’s books at events just like this one and how “It is nice to be able to see people from all over town and meet new people who are interested in my books.”
“Nutley is a destination for business,” Mayor Kelly stated. “Tuesday night showed how strong our community is when we come together and support our local businesses. When they succeed we succeed and when we succeed they succeed.”
Other vendors, such as Monica Suarez of IbēRica, who exhibits at many events around town, shared how “Nutley residents are very supportive of local businesses, so I love being able to share my craft with those in town.” The Sip and Shop is one of the most important events in supporting local businesses. This year’s incredible turnout would not have been possible if it was not for the vendors.
A special thank you goes out to all of the local businesses who took part in this year’s Sip and Shop Event: Touchstone Crystal, Seven X Seven Boutique, ONEHOPE Wines, TNC Trendy Designs, Tinsel the Traveling Christmas Tree, VASTU Environments, Cece Crafts, Gia Dance Studio, Katie’s Korner, A.M.
