Commissioner Tucci, Parks & Recreation's Toy Drive Brings Holiday Cheer to Local Churches

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Nutley Parks and Recreation Department (in collaboration with the Nutley Irish American Association, Core Physical Therapy, and generous Nutley residents) has successfully delivered a collection of new toys to local churches in connection with the recent Nutley Parks and Recreation production of Elf Jr. The Musical.

The toy drive, which began as an idea during rehearsals for the holiday performance, was inspired by the need for toys for scenes set in a department store. Commissioner Tucci quickly realized that the effort could be turned into a meaningful gift to families in need, especially during the holiday season. What started as a small initiative soon blossomed into a larger community effort to provide toys to local churches that support families in need throughout Nutley.

“We are grateful for the incredible generosity of the  Nutley Irish American Association, Core Physical Therapy, and all of the residents who contributed to this toy drive,” stated Commissioner Tucci. “This collaboration reflects the spirit of the season, and we are thrilled that the toys will be going to local families who could use a little extra cheer during this time of year.”

The toy drive has been a true reflection of the community’s ability to come together and support families during the holidays. Commissioner Tucci and the Parks and Recreation Department extend their thanks to everyone who contributed to the toy drive and helped make this holiday season a little brighter for local families
