Last weekend, Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Nutley Parks & Recreation ushered in the holiday season by presenting a festive and heartwarming presentation of Elf Jr., The Musical, delighting audiences from December 6th to 8th. The show featured an impressive cast of 48 talented Nutley students on stage, along with nine dedicated students and alumni working behind the scenes to bring this holiday classic to life at the Nutley High School auditorium.
The production, based on the beloved 2003 film Elf, brought the story of Buddy the Elf to Nutley’s stage with infectious energy and holiday cheer. “From the moment the curtain opened, the audience was transported to the North Pole and the magic of Christmas filled the air,” stated Commissioner Tucci. “The show was a celebration of community spirit.”
Elf Jr. The Musical was a true holiday treat. With festive music, dazzling dance numbers, and a heartwarming story, the show was a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Nutley can certainly be proud of its young performers who brought this joyful story to life on stage.
“The Nutley community came out in full support, with packed audiences enjoying every moment of the musical,” added Commissioner Tucci. “From the adorable antics of Buddy the Elf to the beautiful holiday music, the audience responded with cheers, laughter, and applause. It was clear that the students’ hard work and dedication paid off, as each performance left the crowd smiling and in the holiday spirit.”
