EMERGENCY PROCLAMATION
TOWNSHIP OF NUTLEY, NJ

JANUARY 23, 2016


To all residents and persons within the Township of Nutley, New Jersey and to all the Departments of the Municipal Government of the Township of Nutley:

Whereas, pursuant to the Powers vested by (Chapter 251 of the Laws of 1942, as amended and supplemented, N.J.S.A. APP A:9-30 ET SEQ; N.J.S.A. 40:48-1 (6); N.J.S.A. 20-33-1 ET SEQ.); whichever Law or Laws apply, a Local Disaster Emergency is Declared to exist within the Boundaries of the Township of Nutley;

Whereas, by reason of the conditions which currently exist in certain areas of the Township of Nutley, which may affect the Health, Safety and Welfare of the people of the Township of Nutley; and

Whereas, it has been determined and proclaimed by Mayor Alphonse Petracco and the Office of Emergency Management that the Township of Nutley should be declared a Disaster Area and further that certain measures be taken to protect persons and property.

With this proclamation, there shall be no through traffic traversing the Township of Nutley except for movement of Police, Fire, EMS and other such vehicles permitted or authorized by the Township of Nutley.

The Proclamation was signed on 1/23/16 and remains in place until Rescinded by the Office of the Mayor.
