The Township of Nutley is providing an update to the community on several important matters, including:

• Today’s ‘Drive By” Easter Celebration

A Message from the Board of Commissioners
The Nutley Board of Commissioners would like to wish all of our residents who celebrate a very Happy Passover and a Happy Easter. We know that this may be a difficult time for many of our families – especially when social distancing means we need to stay physically distant at a time when we would typically celebrate in the company of those we love.

As challenging as times may be, we are inspired by and draw hope from the countless acts of selflessness and compassion shown by members of our community – from nurses to grocery store workers to volunteers organizing to help the needy. Let’s all use this season of renewal and hope to reach out to our neighbors and friends – especially senior citizens, vulnerable members of our community, and others who need a social connection and may need our help during this difficult time. If you hear of someone in need, please reach out to any of us so we can help.

We also want to try to (safely) bring a measure of joy to the younger ones, so we are improvising this year with a “Drive By” Easter Celebration. The details are in the announcement below.

“Drive By” Easter Celebration
The Nutley Board of Commissioners would like to invite our youngsters and their families to participate in a “DRIVE BY” Easter Celebration! It has been an unsettling time for everyone these past few weeks. We have had to cancel or postpone many of our Spring Programs. This is the safest way during these unprecedented times to bring a little bit of fun into our families Easter Holiday.

The EASTER BUNNY will be in the Parks & Recreation Parking Lot at 44 Park Ave. this Sunday morning at 11:00am to “WAVE” as you drive by. We look forward to seeing you all in a safe, uplifting environment.
