Nutley Update on COVID-19
The Township of Nutley is providing an update to the community on several important matters, including:
- Total COVID-19 cases in Nutley
- Modified in-person graduation ceremonies can begin July 6th
- Professional sports teams authorized to resume
- Other updates
COVID-19 Total Cases
The Township of Nutley announced 1 additional known COVID-19 case yesterday bringing the total to 491 cases and 33 deaths.
Modified In-Person Graduation Ceremonies as of July 6th
Governor Murphy today announced that the State will issue updated guidance allowing school districts and colleges/universities to hold modified in-person graduation ceremonies beginning on July 6. The guidance, which will be issued on Wednesday, May 27th, will include requirements that ceremonies be held outdoors, adhere to social distancing protocols, and observe capacity restrictions in order to protect the health of students and families celebrating these milestones amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Professional Sports Teams Authorized to Resume Practice and Competition
Governor Murphy today noted that professional sports teams which train or play in New Jersey are allowed to practice and engage in games or matches, if their leagues resume competition.
